After graduating from Frisco High School in 1991, Assistant Fire Chief Paul Siebert (retired) began his firefighting career in Frisco as a volunteer firefighter while attending college. In 1993, after completing the Frisco Fire Academy, he was hired to a full-time position. With the rapid growth of Frisco, Chief Siebert promoted quickly through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief and Assistant Chief. During his career, Chief Siebert has been involved in technology projects which have improved communication, provided important information in the field and developed specialized apparatus to provide command and communications as well as hazardous materials response.
Following his retirement from the Frisco Fire Department in 2017, Chief Siebert began a full-time career with TEEX in the Product Development Center. He was focused on advancing technology in the fire service and providing his experience and knowledge to companies whose technologies could provide the next generation of tools to first responders.
Chief Siebert continues to impact the fire service daily in his role as the Public Sector Program Director for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Emergency Services Training Institute. Overseeing the operations of the Recruit Fire Academy, EMS, Extension, ARFF, Annual School, and Leadership programs, his background in a high-growth, constant change environment adds value to the changing landscape of first responder training.
