Shweta Purawat, with over 15 years of experience in Computational Data Science, currently serves as the Director of Product Management at the WIFIRE Lab, San Diego Supercomputer Center, UC San Diego. In her role, she spearheads innovative AI-driven solutions in wildfire management and champions projects aimed at accelerating scientific breakthroughs in various domains, including quantum material science, COVID prediction, computer-aided drug discovery, and energy-efficient technologies. Her leadership at WIFIRE Lab and the WorDS Center exemplifies her capacity to leverage cutting-edge scientific innovations for large-scale social impact. Committed to advancing scientific discoveries, her work encapsulates groundbreaking developments in user-inspired AI-driven solutions, Data Platforms, Distributed Computing, and Big Data Analytics. Shweta's academic journey, including an M.S. from the University of South Alabama and an M.Tech from IIT Bombay, India, complements her extensive expertise in scientific workflows, systems software integration, and performance monitoring.
